This afternoon was an example of the fullness I've been feeling this month. I didn't really do any one thing that was extra special, but one thing after another added up to a, "real fine day". It was a harvest type of day around here. I hauled and forked some hay for my goats - whom I have locked up with a young buck who has come over for a conjugal visit. So far, no dice. Let's just say Julio isn't having A real full fall. Yet. Then I washed the eggs I harvested from my chickens this week. This is the only time of year I can get behind on my eggs.
Then I gathered the beets I'd pulled and cut the tops off for storage. 43 pounds of beets.
Domino and Sarah joined in the harvest too.
Then I went and had a visit with my gramma. Her face lights up and she smiles so big when she sees me - that really fills my heart so full. It is a very deeply layered full. From there I drove down to the river and watched the sun set.
A real fine day.

I love your life, Heather, and your writing. You always sound so content. So jealous... :)
