Gardens - Inside or Out?

So, spring always put me in a flurry of growing and planting, and planting and planting...
I have this absolutely fabulous Sun porch (so fabulous, Sun gets a capital S) so I can grow things inside and out. Good thing too because we've had pretty rotten growing weather outside this Spring. So, here are a few of my inside projects....
Sweet Potatoes! Yes! In Canada. Being Canadian, I had no idea how to grow a sweet potato. But I love them. So, a trip around the Web showed me how to do it. The timing is wrong, but I couldn't help myself. I have to try. Even if I have a bucket of dirt in my Sun porch in November in order to harvest my sweet potatoes.
The fruits of my greenhouse shopping and seed planting...
Does anyone know what the middle plant there is? It's really cool, whatever. It grows little quarter sized aster-type fuschia coloured flowers. And the edges of the leaves get a pinkish hue. I just cut it back as it grows very profusely. I've made two other good size plants from it in a year.
I'm focused on herbs, for the most part, this year - well, I do think I suffer from plant ADHD, but for right now I'm focused on herbs. I have found all sort of great ones this year. Being in Canada, a lot won't survive outside over winter, but that's what pots are for, hmm?
Aren't these absolutely gorgeous? My new favourite. They're called Pericallis. They grow well inside and outside, the little thingy says. I haven't decided where to put them yet, so they remain amongst the other, "I don't know where to put you yet" plants.
