Snow, wind and snow

This morning, the wind died down as the sun came up and when I came home from driving the school bus, it was so calm and nice out, I thought I'd take some pictures of our snowy view(s).
PEEK-A-BOO!
Our feeder lambs' view is changing each time the wind blows from the south or west. Their drift on their side of the fence is getting higher and higher, much to their delight!

I have to dig my way to the chicken coop every other day or so because the drifts are thigh deep now. They sure are loving the warmer weather this morning. I should get ambitious and dig them more of a path to get further into their yards, as they are quite wussy and don't like to walk on the snow. I've put some bales outside their door and they will perch on those, and I've dug a small area there, as well for them. I've got several roosters in this bunch this year and their poor combs are all frostbitten to different degrees. The fellow below sure doesn't look too cheerful, does he?

What beautiful pictures! I love that you are sharing your life with us. Here in Kentucky we have a little freezing rain, no snow but lots of sunshine in our hearts! Thanks, Susan
