Promised Pictures

As promised, here are the pictures. This was day one when I brought in this little Peanut. He was pretty tiny, very hypothermic and half dead. When this happens, I just wrap the lambs in a towel, then my heating pad, then a blanket - well scrap of polar fleece from my sewing stash, hehe. If things allow, I often will put them on my chest and have a nap with the warm bundle until one of us wakes up ready to go :o). It only took 45 minutes for this little guy. Unfortuneately his mamma didn't have much milk and had no interest in her lambs. There were twins, and so they both ended up inside my house as orphans. I am such a sucker.LOL and I have such an obedient sheep dog! These lambs will climb all over her with their pointy little hooves and the only thing she will do is look at me mournfully.
Here is another little one just a couple hours old. Her mamma wanted her and had good milk, she just had icicles hanging from her ears! So I brought her in just to dry her off and took her back out to her happy mamma. All is well.
Once the lambs are a couple days old, they get curious, chewerful and full of mischeif. This one insisted on helping me as I crocheted this sock.

Hey Heather! :) I found you after I set up my blog and put 'Chris Rice' in my favorite music, I clicked it and you were on the list of people who had the same music likes! pretty funny... :) How are you doing? Zoe H.

Sounds like you are feeling a bit better these days?!? I so understand about spring lambing. We have lambed out from February thru late April before. Each 'season' has its own special quirks and some advantages. Hypothermia is not on top of any list though. I hope your orphan babies settle in and you can still rest. Take care of yourself! God Bless ~ Cheryl

That is just the most adorable thing ever Heather! Seeing the dog with them is even more cute. :c)

Heather, I do believe you are a sheep angel. :-)

And I love Chris Rice, too, thanks to my sister introducing me to his music. "Deep Enough To Dream" can make me cry in anticipation; the "Living Room Sessions" is perfect, peaceful background music....

Oh Heather,
I am really enjoying these pictures. I did not breed this year, so that makes sharing these moments with you extra special. I definitely could live in your home...stepping over little lambs, dogs sleeping with lambs, decorating with unfinished knitting projects. My idea of a home. Stay warm. Blessings.

I've been so busy I'm way behind on everyone's blogs. I can't believe I missed these cuties!
